THE STAFF!!! Seriously the most dedicated and polite, most hardworking staff I have ever encountered after 28 countries. Admittedly, the hotel room was a bit dated (though the public areas were nice!) and I was told both by the staff and it seems confirmed through other reviews here that they are going through renovations and so some of the rooms are dated and older and some are refreshed and new. The staff's friendly demeanor, professionalism, and courtesy really shines through. I was given an older room which one can definitely tell needs some work yes, but the room was impeccably clean every single day I returned and fully stocked. On my second day I accidentally sat in some mud while sightseeing (it was dark!) and the staff helped me clean up and dry my jeans! As a solo traveler, I am not picky with the rooms as I tend to only use them to sleep and keep my things. The air conditioning was perfect for a hot city with midday temperatures reaching about 30-32C and the room easily staying at 19C if desired. The bathroom was a great size and the beds were comfortable. I think I liked the idea of being in one of the older rooms not only because it was slightly cheaper but also because I really got to see how everything else about this property is highlighted. Since I knew going in that I would have a non-renovated room I could pay attention to the things they can control and that part was absolutely perfect. The staff told me the owner of the building won't allow the entire hotel to be renovated at once and hence why they had to go room by room while staying open. I can only imagine if you receive one of the renovated rooms you will have an even better impression! Location is another major asset!! You have 3 metro stops (yes 3, Parque, São Sebastiāo and Picoas) all within a short walk and each one is part of a different line (blue, red, yellow).

The best part of this hotel is its location. We were between 2 metro stations (Sao Sebastiao and Parque), easily accessible from the train. When we left Lisbon, we took the airport shuttle arranged by the hotel to get to the airport at 2:30am. It was good value at 20 Euros and the service was excellent! We were also located right beside El Corte Ingles, the most amazing department store. We found restaurants, bakeries and gluten free meals all within 2-5 minutes of walking. The Marques de Pombal roundabout, which is where many tours leave from, was a 5 minute walk away, downhill. We did not try the breakfast as it is continental style but they recommended a very good bakery across the street for GF bread. Or room was equipped with a bar fridge and it was easy to store milk and other items to complete our breakfast without going to a restaurant. There was a kettle to make tea as well. We arrived in the evening and the staff immediately suggested that they would change our room the next day to the more accessible floor, which they did. I asked for an updated room, as opposed to the older one we had the first night. That was granted as well. All in all, the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive to our comfort. If all you need is a well located hotel room, with no fancy offerings, in a safe and convenient location, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We received such a spacious room! The bed was the most comfortable in all of Lisbon! Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were talking for long with the owners who made us feel right at home before our long trip back to South Africa. The room was really nice, felt like a mini apartment. You get good bang for your buck. The transfer to the airport was very professional and well priced. We will definitely be back here in the near future. Wishing you many blessings for your hotel ☺️ regards Melissa and Ricardo Moniz

Accommodation is on the fourth floor and there's a lift in the building. The door to the building has an automatic lock, and makes you feel a little extra safe, in general. Rooms are clean and serviced every morning. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is kind and professional. We had a flight out in the afternoon, and there were no problems leaving our luggage with them after checkout until we came back to pick it up before going to airport. Personally, I would take the same accommodation next time in Lisbon.

The room is in quite good location. Only a few minutes walk from the Sao Sebastian metro station and even nearer to the big apartment store, el Corte Ingles. There also are many restaurants nearby. The staff was really nice here. The room itself was quite big with also quite a big bathroom. The access to the building and to the room were quite easy. On the streetside the outer door required a code to open after which it opened automatically. The room door opened with a key card. Real simple
